FAQ
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about the services we provide, the list is not exhaustive so please contact me to discuss your project.
No project is too big or too small, and I'm always open to discussion and advice even if you're in the early stages and not quite ready to commit.
Quality of service
My goal is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with my services.
From the initial inquiry to the appointment to work on your project, you and your music are my main focus.
How long does it take to mix a song?
This always depends on the quality and quantity of the leads provided, and on communication before the project begins.
The better the communication and the quality of the tracks, the faster the project can progress.
As a rough guide, a standard song with around 30 tracks would take 3 days to complete.
Can I be contacted easily?
Yes. I'm always reachable by phone, Teams, Zoom, e-mail and social networks.
All I would ask, if we are on different continents and time zones, is that you email me first to arrange a call.
What do you need to work together?
To start a project, I would need all tracks in Wave format at a minimum of 44.1 kHz 24 bit (48 kHz 24 bit being even better).
Also, make sure you export your tracks at the start of the session (0:00:00) so that they remain aligned after I import them into my DAW.
If in doubt, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss requirements.
What are multitracks and stems?
Multitracks refer to the individual elements that make up the entire song, i.e. Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Bass, Lead Guitar, Vocals, etc.
Stems are where multitracks are combined into group tracks, i.e. drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals, etc.
Which DAW do you use?
I use Cubase Pro 14.
